2010/07/09-10 The First Annual Korea-Japan Homeless Research Exchange
July 9-10, 2010 The First Annual Korea-Japan Homeless
Research Exchange Conference-
Current Status and Prospects for Homeless Research in Korea and Japan
•Summary
The two countries of South Korea and Japan are both located in East Asia and have comparatively much in common regarding problems of homelessness. This conference will create an opportunity to share information on the current situation of the homeless and experiences from implementing measures to deal with them in, and try to progressively utilize the results of research in the two countries. Since the basic situation in both countries has already been grasped through a number of exchanges, we are holding this conference in 2010 with an emphasis on developing these exchanges a step further. Based on that, at this research exchange conference we intend to forge a mutually comparative perspective in order to advance to the level of substantive joint research in the future.
